I guess the VW products the north america gets (a large amount of which are made either in mexico or the US) are a bit less high quality than what you have in europe. VW, rightfully, has a bad reputation in the US for reliability. I think Skoda would be a step up at this point.

you know how VW can make up for Diesel-shitstorm :: Bring Skoda to North America. cheap simple semi-reliable european cars... they’d be good competition for kia and hyundai at least. especially since the kia optima looks like a updated skoda octavia.
