I own the original five films, the remake, the TV show and cartoon, it is a given that I will see this. And so far it it looks damn good.

It takes place before Planet Of The Apes (2001). The Remake has a separate continuity from the original. Think of this as a 'reimagining' of Conquest of the Planet Of The Apes.

Because, they include one all important word in the title... Parody. This pretty much protects them under US law.
