there was more to my train of thought, but the cat decided to jump up on my desk, hitting the mouse, which happen to be over the submit button. And with the new layout, I have yet to figure out how to edit, and didn't feel like making an all new post.

@Charlotte Rae's Web: You realize that the ticket you can see is not the ticket you get. It's usually three/four tickets back from the one you get.

How does this explain right/left handedness? Seeing as all our ancestors (even 'apes', 'monkeys' and 'lemurs') have forward facing eyes, what would studying a species that doesn't prove? I have heard lts of good theories, but this one left me puzzled as how it connected to humans.

You dare speak ill of the B-52s? You, sir or madame, (can't tell who posts what with this new layout) ARE DEAD TO ME! DEAD!

That was a very un-Top Gear video. Germans, the Stig speaking, 'modern' music by the French... But then again Daft Punk are robots and the Stig is not human...

Enjoyed the episode the first time I saw it... back in September! As for the whole dissin' on Mexicans, I suspect that it will be a big 'incident'. Being of Mexican heritage, I was annoyed, but I also know from watchin' Top Gear that it was typical Tg and just rolled with it.

1965 - When cars had lines, styles, heart, soul... Back when 'Merican muscle meant something. And the girls weren't bad either. :-)

Will have to definitely check this out. It seems just zany enough for my oddball tastes...

@John_Hazard: Pretty much agree 100%. It is not so much the band, they did do some creative stuff, but the fans, the fans are really too much at times for me.

@Arsnof: Best Beatles cover band name I ever heard of would have to be 'We Won't Let That Jap Bitch Kill The Mop Top Dream'. It wasn't the best name, it was possibly a tad racist and hateful, but it got their ideology across clearly.

As someone who works in a music store, everyone assumes I must adore the Beatles. And yet, as my closest friends will confirm, I loathe the Fab Four. I often refer to them as 'The World's Most Successful Boy Band'. But I like the idea of this film, if done right, it might convert some of the Yoko haters.

Hey, Dietrich, given how much money I have thrown your way over the last decade, you think I could get a ride?

I just can't bring myself to see a Nick Cage film at the Theatre. I have no problem admitting that I find his films a guilty pleasure, but never $8+ guilty. I did break down and see Ghost Rider, but that was the GR fan in me winning out over the reasoning centre of my brain. But the premise is enough to get that

@cicadymn: check your trust news source of choice. Everyone is running the story ...

@Jackie: You kiddin' me? If I could get my hands on a 'real' Peel, I would grab it in a heart beat. Then I would pull up to every Prius I saw and be like '100 MPG! Take that you smug bastard."

I read both Sandman Slim novels, and am glad to hear that there will be more. I just wish that the books were a lil' more polished(?). Just seems like there is lots of plot, but not whole lots of character interaction outside of kickin' each others arses.

@bob_d: It's not even the livability aspect. The 1990 looks clean, organic, open, uhm... natural. If that makes sense. The 2010 image looks like something out of Blade Runner / Judge Dread, so dystopian...

@Chip Overclock: It is likely that there are some old growth forest in Vermont, but these will measure in mere acres and not hundreds of hecto acres like here in the Northwestern US

Is it wrong that I think the 1990 skyline looks better?

@roninmodern: The problem with that argument is that if humans were involved, then it is likely that whatever habitat the animal dwelled in no longer exists.
