We’re talking about voting age adults who are in their 20-30s, ie the boomer’s kids who grew up on Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, etc.

The problem is that 40% of the country has been brainwashed into thinking the GOP gives a shit about them and their causes. They don’t, they just need the stupid people to keep voting for them, because there aren’t enough rich people to keep them in power.
