@boyracer: I think it can hold on to a lower signal longer, its receives a higher signal compared to the 3GS at the same ambient signal level (ie 80% of the output signal vs 60%). But dropping calls might be a reliability thing. So it can be better in some sense, but worse in others.

@A.Jaswal: I just got mine yesterday, it doesnt look like the one above ie I cant see the proxmity sensor. However it has no proximity sensor problem, and no bar dropping on a 1 minute grip (tested in multiple spots). Sometimes it drops bars in my pocket, but then it gains bars when I bridge antennae it (?)

@Sir (Starman), Leader of the Pineapple Platoon (and I don't even like pineapples): It would make it easier for the proximity sensor to tell light from dark when light is present.
