Definitely the case of a tricky clutch and a bit too much throttle. He was slipping the clutch while going up the ramp and then let it out a bit too much towards the top, spinning the rear wheels.
Nope, all crapcans. Truth hurts.
Tesla fan boys .... 1 2 3 ...
You’re right. But the gawker drones have to convince themselves that they’re doing something by putting their fingers in their ears and chanting repeatedly
“Also, I really wanted one of our lot boys to pull a car around for delivery and ding his 550 while we finished paperwork, solely because I’m a jerk like that and wish those kinds of things on people who use their t-shirt to shut their car doors.”
What the hell!? A post about cars, and not about the “scum sucking republicans” What has Jalopnik come to!? We have come so far to devolve now back into just a car blog.
Oh I love the leaked photos and spy shots and I can’t wait for more of them to come out, but I feel like it’s just kind of rude to secretly take pictures at an event like that and then post them to the internet. I wonder if McLaren had them sign nondisclosure agreements or just asked nicely for them not to do that.

Sure, that’s his M.O., all of it is believable so no one questions it too much. He’s the guy that does those SuperSpeeders videos. Another…
Which sucks because, how are you supposed to clean that?
i think on the left side of the steering wheel is a much better location. like the old pushmatic systems. easily accessible to the driver, but not in the center stack where anyone is constantly reaching to change radio/temp settings and hit the wrong thing.
Specific output is an irrelevant metric though...
Counterpoint: not everyone wants a larger (and heavier) car just to have more power.
I think this is a good move, it may push other car makers to make robust CVT options instead of the god awful ones they currently make..
Another proper gearhead video with a emotional guy with a welding helmet. And sparks.
Evan, do you know why games don’t show black people the way you wish they did? Because not enough black people are making games for that to happen. Instead of posting thirty page articles on how games don’t feature your favorite hairstyle often enough, get a group of your black friends together, and make fucking game.
