Clicking your link was like entering a universe I didn’t know existed... who is Ernie? What is the kinja data team?? How do you guys find these subblogs, is there a list somewhere??

I mean currently the comments here only load for me 1/2 the time (I think it’s because I use an ad blocker to get around the overwhelming number of autoplay ads that G/O Media Group apparently does NOT want my opinion on..) so they’re well on their way.

It always bums me out that people feel this way because while Pierce’s writing absolutely improves significantly in later books, the cast of Song of the Lioness is my absolute favorite and I wish they got the love the later books get.

Every day I’m glad I’m not famous because clearly I don’t understand the finer subtleties of social media. It would never occur to me to post a song to send an obscure message about someone, nor would it occur to me to decode what someone else’s song choices are about.

Yeah, it’s basically this system that I have a problem with. It keeps presenting me, as a consumer, with a sub par product.

I mean in that same article a lot of the comments are expressing that they feel it’s totally fair game to mock Zellweger’s looks, so while the author may have felt differently I would say this site as a whole is all for mocking everybody’s plastic surgery.

Making fun of people for getting bad plastic surgery just feels so mean to me. It’s sad more than anything else, I think.

Actually it’s Kanye’s thing, because when they got together he get rid of her old clothes/style and gave her her current look. Reportedly he still controls her clothes and her overall look. The uber-tight all neutral colors thing is from Kanye, apparently.

Isn’t it the same plot that Carrie Fisher tried to pitch when she was on 30 Rock?

I agree that a lot of the hate is misogyny, like 90% of it is, which is why my hackles go up whenever someone starts railing against it.

I agree, it’s absolutely not funny at all to suggest someone with an illness deserves a Darwin Award. That’s exactly the problem I have with SimuLord’s comment.

But some people are just hell bent on gunning for a Darwin Award.

Especially when they all lump everything together under one big umbrella.

I don’t really read this as her saying juuling is awesome, I read it as her saying “banning all e-cigs is a fast jump when we still don’t know what the precise issue is yet” and “the alternative, smoking cigarettes, is almost certainly very bad for one’s health and thus I’m trying to stick with e-cigs right now…
