He also cut in pretty quickly on that lady who got overtly racist, he didn’t even let her finish her question, he took the mic from her immediately. While obviously that *should* be the bare minimum, currently our society is so fucked up that I will give McCain props for that.

My cat plays fetch and he wasn’t raised with dogs. Actually he’s the first pet I’ve ever owned who will actually fetch, including the many dogs I’ve had over the years.

I was also just coming down to give props to the Westing Game name drop. Turtle and Judge JJ were my heroes, I loved that book.

So in my teaching program we talk a lot about how important it is that teachers live in the same neighborhoods as their students and are part of the community, and I’m always really resistant to that precisely because of stories like this. I want my students to know the bare minimum about my personal life because I

I actually am less mad at the caller in this situation. If you are watching other people’s kids you have to be cautious, and if our police weren’t blood thirsty monsters this would be a reasonable thing to ask a professional to check on. The woman could have been lost (the nightmare of everybody who has a grandparent

Exactly. There are lots of valid reasons to live with your parents as an adult, but “I can’t afford my own place because I’m getting my ass sued off for being a Nazi” is not one of them.

I’m sure he will, and I will be watching, but I still won’t be giving a shit about what happens to him.

I absolutely do not root for cousin greg

I only started watching because the honorable Judge Kara Brown told me to on Keep It, and I trust her with my life.

Oh yeah, part of the dynamic of that group was that the DM & those guys used to play together in high school, then decided to try D&D again in adulthood with us newbies. We were all either rusty or completely new, so we just sorta started the standard 5e beginner’s campaign without any preamble besides character

Yes, I also appreciate that The Adventure Zone doesn’t worry about throwing the rulebook out if it helps the story along (also I’m a McElroy fan so I’m biased).

Why shouldn’t the father of those children be expected to contribute to their welfare? Again, it’s not about the specific money amount, it’s about the fact that Brad is their father and that means he’s also responsible for them. I agree with your point about going to In-Touch, but I absolutely disagree that going to

I think if you’re that child that is something that you don’t even know about, unless your parents are Angelina and Brad and you see it on the front page of In Touch Magazine

Counterpoint: wearing ugly stuff is fun, and prioritizing “fun” over “attractive” is always a good call.

Oh I don’t got a dog in this fight, I just was curious.

Why?

Does California have an income cap for calculating child support? NY has a maximum and to go above the combined income is at the discretion of the child.

Well one, because once you decide to either create a child or adopt one you are now responsible for that child. If he was using a percentage of his income to raise them before the divorce, why would he not be expected to continue doing so?

I find a lot of people think of child support as “what’s fair to the parents/the one parent I’m sympathetic towards?” vs. “what’s fair to the kids?”
