I went from iOS (iPhone4) to Android (Galaxy S4) because I felt iOS was limiting and to some degree I think it still is. Working with any kind of file is terrible in iOS because it doesn’t let you download arbitrary files (in case you need a file but are on a closed VPN on your work computer for example) or have any

I used to run a custom water cooled system for years. It was originally built back when there were very few commercial parts for water cooling so I used an inside heater radiator from a Ford Sierra, an aquarium pump and only the blocks were purpose made. Had a few spills on my first try (had to leave my mobo to dry)

The one feature I like is the Application shortcuts thing. Unfortunately I haven't found any suitable replacement for it in Windows.

I've been a 1Password user for years on both OSX and Windows but have to say that there is a noted difference in app quality between the platform. The OSX version is great. The Windows version looks like crap and generally doesn't work as smoothly. Don't take me wrong, it's still perfectly serviceable but could use

Truly awful cheat sheet as it has many omissions and mistakes. When I was learning Java, the first thing that made my head spin was the way strings are handled and compared. Like mentioned in other comments, not saying anything about the static keyword is just wrong.

It really does look amazingly good. Wikipedia should just buy your styles and scripts to be honest.

This is seriously awful. Nobody should ever use the Trinity or Eldrige knots. They look huge and terrible in general. Oh and it's not "simple knot", the knot is called "four in hand".

There's two categories that are just not worth it. The really expensive ones and the really expensive but actually mediocre ones (like the Beats stuff). Good headphones can be a bit expensive but I'd say you can get stellar headphones between 100-200 euros. Anything above that is just mad.

Wood makes a big difference. Try sticking the same parts into different guitars made from different woods and they will sound different.

I've watched my co-workers' Win8 experiences from the sidelines and have decided to wait for the inevitable Win9, hoping it will finally bring together what seems like a rather half-assed effort overall. Win8 so far doesn't have a single feature that I want as a desktop user whereas Win7 brought plenty.

I assume you don't use it on mobile then? I have enough trouble writing my master password on mobile 1Password and it's nowhere near as long.

I'm having enough trouble writing my reasonable length master password on mobile 1Password. How do you handle writing something that long?

Seriously, that has got to be the stupidest way to do a bathroom faucet. Mine has the handle on the sink, but so close to the shower that you can easily reach and adjust it. There's an adjustable pipe going to the sink and another to the shower head. Pull a switch to switch between the two. This is a fairly common

Agreed. When I was looking for a new job last year, I used my website (which is just a simple resume pertaining to my field - web developer -, pic and contact information) in nearly all my applications and got several interviews fairly easily.

Number 3 is terrible advice because people have different arm lengths. Jacket length varies with fashion and should be in proportion to the buttoning point. If the top button (or middle button on 3-button jacket) is very high, the jacket length should be shorter to look balanced. Same thing with a low buttoning point.

These are kinda terrible, especially the leather one. Even many high priced brands use pretty shit leather or corrected grain leather (which makes it unnecessary to choose flawless pieces of leather as corrected grain can be made to look uniform). Not necessarily a good indicator of quality.

I haven't looked into it, but maybe Pixelmator is Applescript compatible? That would allow you to do pretty much anything. Of course it's not as tied to the software.

As a foreigner, I must say that at least in San Francisco, AT&T was the only one with decent customer service and the right product (prepaid LTE/3G SIM card). I went to T-Mobile and Verizon first but both were simply outright lying about their competitors and trying to make me get some expensive WiFi hotspot device.
