you're missing the point. don't you think Journey looks better than this? Don't you think Journey accomplished a new style not seen in games before? It was done by a super small team too.

perhaps you're right, maybe saying "lazy" is a bit harsh. minmalism is wonderful, and other games have done it already, and better. of course this is still opinion, but this game isn't bringing anything new graphically to the table tech or style wise. So, if it isn't bringing anything new, yet the graphics are…
i like the lighting and a few other effects too. but i've seen those kinds of graphics before on other games, so it isn't very unique. on top of that, it is quite fast/easy to do these things. I like when developers push themselves and push what's on the market.
heh, i wouldn't have brought it up if the other guy hadn't challenged me to "make one." i try not to be an asshole.
haha maybe you have a point, but i already know platinum games has amazing gameplay, its a high priority for them! i'm not worried at all, bayonetta is the best action game ever made. what is this, some kind of monster hunter plus DMC?
and don't forget that graphics, sound, and any part of the game are part of gameplay. graphics are incredibly important when establishing gameplay for a variety of reasons.
for me, fun comes when every part of the orchestra comes together. games are unique because they encompass many different forms of art (including interaction). my opinion is that every single part of a game needs to be handled with care, not just the gameplay. because games are part of a whole experience. imagine…
I have, im a professional 3d artist in the game industry. but i'm not here to brag about myself. i'm here to point out nonsense. games are an artistic medium, and should be handled with respect. if you are indie and can make any kind of game you want, it might as well be something unique—not lazy.
HOLY SHIT SHOLY SHIT HOLLY SHIIIIT! this just became my number one needed title! omg holy shit.
I'm sick of these games coming out with such lazy graphics! any decent 3d artist can make model this scene very quickly, turn on bloom, and a real time light. stop charging us for your rushed graphics and take the time to make it something unique! I don't care if it's indie.
yep exactly the same here! woot for stereo 3d gamers! People are down on 3d because on console and in movies they are done so badly, poeple need to see 3d vision.
i dont think there's a way to send private messages >.>. I doubt people are reading this far though, you can email me at zuagamer@gmail.com
I just realized I've been talking about almost all xbox! heh, weird coincidence. I've actually owned every console in every generation since nes, including handhelds (i also have x1 and ps4).
I have just about every game for ps4, save sports games. Ive never been locked out due to the disc still installing. Your idea is nifty, but a bit pointless. Xb1 does take much longer to install, but I have never ran into a lock either...so mayyyybe, but I think they have bigger things to worry about.
not even once.
last of us doesn't install, it just loads from the disc, i believe it's the same for your other examples as well (mortal kombat installs while you play, so injustice is probably the same). I think you are just talking about long load times from the slow blu ray drive of the ps3. 360 games don't have installs save a…
wait, what's the point of pre-loading a physical copy of the game? The Disc reads the game so fast (especially on ps4) that installs happen within a minute or less of inserting the game. Why would you want to preload a physical disc?
Oh dude, i also agree with MK9 being stiff feeling, I think it's an overabundance of mo-cap combined with combos that need to be perfectly timed. VF5 has a similar problem. I actually have a lot of fun with MK9, I won't try to say it's totally balanced though.
You're right, perhaps my asking of you to clarify "why" was a bit too much to ask for. It would take a lot of thought and time—even for more general things.
Doom was possible and released on snes, Hexen couldn't be. Hexen was on n64. Gens apart, yay :).
