I’m definitely not opposed to a VMT tax because it’s a better way to tax driving and its related externalities (pollution, congestion, etc.).

I think the higher “consumption” of EVs at higher speeds is the result of drag (almost exclusively).
As a big #SaveTheManuals fan, I have to agree. It’s just stupid to simulate it just for the sake of being able to. It’s such a waste of engineering/research talent.
Did you drive it?
Gen 3 RAV4 with the V6.
Yes, and the seats fold down. Hear you on the wagon, when a V60 EV comes out, it will be mine most likely.
Toyota became lazy and is hugely stubborn. Witness their reliance on hybrids / reluctance on EVs.
BMW had this happen in the past. This is why its best to leave things that rely on outside networks to mobile devices (iOS/Android) or initially design a simple replaceable module - hell they can even charge $500 again for a replacement. Some sucker will pay it.
This is why.
f*ckinnnnng tired of Elon
It looks like a generic Hertz rental sedan and is offered in similar bland colors. Just totally uninspiring in the looks department
I think these sedan designs are a big miss on the part of MB.
I’m with the author - I like the looks. Just get it in a darker color if have issues with the grille. I prefer the Phytonic Blue.
Should’ve gotten a Polestar 2.
Liberals worldwide mostly own EVs currently by a huge margin. (About 50% of Twitter?)
I had 2 Gen 2s. I sold my 2001 and missed it so much that in 2008 I picked up a used 2004. Both 4WD. Both manuals.
I’m ok with it. Providing a full credit for the current free-for-all when demand is as high as it is now is dumb policy.
There’s a reason Congress put in that provision. I’m sure they knew GM and Ford could make it happen. Looks like the new Honda will qualify as well.
After 2...so 3. :)
