My wife and I were asked to write our own vows by the person who performed our ceremony. We declined, and requested using something nice and thoughtful, heavy on the commitment aspect and generally upbeat. He did a dark-themed readthrough about how all you can depend on is each other, and it really was not

I worked for a summer at McDonald's back in college. In no way I was "enjoying myself." This cockstain should be keel-hauled.

Michael B. Jordan was absolutely great as an actor on both Parenthood and my favorite soap of all time, the criminally under-appreciated Friday Night Lights. I have already told my wife that I'll be watching this movie, and she said, "I didn't know they did Sex And The City for guys."

Richard Sherman is a fucking clownshoe.

You are very correct to do so.

I would have drafted Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning. I was about 22 at the time and therefore had only a nebulous grasp of "character," and all I knew was that Leaf could hit any point on the compass from any point on the field.

Mint chip and black licorice.

"Smelly cat, smelly cat/it's so totally your fault..."

PC for both. I've never been able to get on board with FPS on a console.

I've finally started playing Borderlands. I have to admit, I really like the cel-shaded animation, and the physics are nicely responsive. Not as good in the shooting department as I'd like, but the ability to flesh out a character with XP and attribute points is quite enjoyable. I have Borderlands 2 chambered and

It feels really weird to be on the same side as Dan Le Batard.

"...he is not allowed to attend baseball games as credentialed media for a year."

I showed this to my wife and she asked, very innocently, "Is that the Oakland Coliseum?"

Make him think of his own shitty ideas!

Am I the only one who legitimately likes this? It's the closest thing that Kansas City is going to get to modern art for a long time, after all.

Still waiting for Doom 4 with the id Tech 5 engine... and it appears I will be waiting quite a bit longer. The story about how almost all the work on Doom 4 was trashed was a heavy blow for a company that has never done things quickly. It was a serious bummer to read.

As a writer and a roller derby referee for a fairly well-ranked WFTDA league, I completely endorse this idea. Plus, the skating is a whole hell of a lot of fun, to say nothing of the afterparties!

My choice for best neighbor ever? Dexter. He won't play his music loud, he'll keep his lawn trimmed, he'll always be polite to you, and "trouble people" just magically disappear.

I read about this game in You're Okay, It's Just A Bruise by the former Raider team doctor, Rob Huzienga. Pretty frightening stuff if you care at all about your long-term health. Otherwise, just another day at the NFL office in the mid-80's.
