How so?
How so?
I haven't heard anyone couch it that way. I have heard uniform disappointment that the narrative has sunk to the level of fan-fiction, that a loved show has been sacrificed on the altar of regressive leftist politics, and that it has all been done in the face of a better solution, presumably by the corporation that…
Correct. This was done in the service of the idea that any press is good press and some new viewers will be drawn to the controversy. What is unknown is whether more new viewers will come and stay than the numbers that have left.
What it does do is break the characterization of the lead in half arbitrarily for ends that are other than storytelling, that have no narrative consistency, and do this in what appears to be an intentionally regressive way.
1) You confuse the character with the show.
2) Your thesis about WW and JB as 'power fantasies' is unsupported. If you understand so clearly what these franchises represent, then you should have no trouble showing that what you say is so about them is actually so, without simply declaring it so.
3) You have not shown…
This is as true as it is true that George Takei is a homophobe because he recognized that Sulu wasn't gay and found the arbitrary gay-washing of the character offensive.
I don't know that you have credibility on the topic relative to the Biological & Biomedical Sciences dept at Harvard university. At any rate your position is not supported, you have not advanced any rebuttal of the findings at Harvard and elsewhere, and no your declaration cribbed from a Trump tweet stream of 'FAKE…
I side with science. Evidence in support of your position is….where?
People have the right to not be attacked for who they are or what they say, personally.
Are you sure?
You can define it any way you wish and it is to your credit that you do so when you use it in non-standard way, even if it had to be prompted out of you.
Am I pissed?
Always so funny when those who somehow think blocking someone is somehow disadvantaging the blockee and a taunt never really block. They just like to talk about it.
The collapsing of one instance into a universal extreme is an example of cognitive distortion commonly found with groupthink. I get why it is attractive, since probably not many folks push back. I will not accept it. You are held to account and this position rightly dismissed.
I don't recall asserting that she had. It would be absurd for me to do so, given that it is impossible for me to determine her intent. Which is the same exact standard I apply to those on either side of the issue.
Nope you are correct. 50+ years of continuity flushed. This is certainly their right, but they can't expect to be immunized from the fallout.
You would have to show it did not make sense, rather than just declaring it.
What you mean to say here is that all of a sudden, despite 50 years of our time precedence, and thousands of years of in show precedence, suddenly time lords can regenerate into time ladies.
The rule isn't that the Doctor should be a man, the rule is that the Doctor is a man.
They may also be called Time Lords when male, or Time Ladies when female, and that's all there is to it.
