If it’s aiming for the realism of war, the part where you abandon the rebels to be ethnically cleansed should be interesting.

Who saw the continents right away?

LOL, yeah. I’m not saying FFXIII was a good game or collection of games by any stretch, only that the its overarching narrative over the course of multiple games is most likely the template SE is using to tell the full FFVII story.

The way of looking at it that has helped me cope with the way it’s being broken into multiple releases is FFXIII. The first FFXIII was it’s own stand alone game, but we eventually got XIII-2 and then Lightning Returns. The whole trilogy tells one story that’s broken into 3 self-contained games. FFVII will be the same.…

Here’s my review:

Jokes and writing in Borderlands were always a mixed bag, generally not funny. But it’s part of the world they created, and it fits their world, so you live with it or you don’t. You could say the same thing about BL1 and BL2 and TPS. Nothings changed except maybe some people were younger back then than they are now.
