The way I understood it is Iowa has to request the driver information from South Dakota, and when they do we tell Iowa (or rather the contracted enforcement company) to basically fuck off.

I believe, and don’t quote me on this, that South Dakota recently passed legislation that when Iowa calls up South Dakota for information on a South Dakota driver caught speeding by one of Iowa’s cameras* South Dakota gives them a big ol’ fuck you. Probably because of cases like this.

I love these so much and have seen a few pop up on CL in good condition for a good deal, just wish I could justify buying one, or had enough spending cash to buy one just because.

In nearly any given circumstance I would rather have a pickup vs a car.

Dual injectors isn’t all that new or exciting though, Ford’s been using them on the Ecoboost for a while now for pretty much the same reasons, and that was covered when it was fairly new. The interesting thing here, at least to most people I imagine is the modified cycle.

My truck is a ‘99 F-150, extended cab. This is a 6.5' bed, the same length of bed I currently have, which fits my full size cruiser just fine with the gate down, or two of my UJM’s, or my ATV. It’s still a half ton, even with a lowered suspension I have no doubt this truck would tow a 4 place ATV trailer if it had to,

What it needed was a lowered and upgraded suspension, maybe a tasteful body kit. The eco-boost is fine, although a power bump to differentiate it from the standard off the shelf eco-boost would have been nice. As it sits it just feels half assed to me, like Ford wanted to create a full on sport truck and resurrect the

Other people have pointed this out to me as well and I guess the Tremor was a little more special than I thought, but I still don’t think it’s a good Lightning successor.

Ok, so it was a little more special than I thought, still not a Lightning successor if you ask me though.

Ok, it was a little more special than I thought, still not a true successor to the Lightning if you ask me.

I’d use the shit out of it, it’ll still tow a boat, a trailer full of atv’s, haul my motorcycle around, basically everything I use my truck for now.

I’ve got an extended cab of this era, but I imagine the regular cab is the same way. The headers merge on the passenger side due to some electronics and whatnot on the drivers side frame rail, it was likely the easiest way to do side pipes without having to move a bunch of stuff.

The Tremor was nothing more than a sticker package. No boost in power, no upgraded suspension, no special body kits or interior. Still a neat truck, but not a Lightning successor.

Because I like it and I don’t care what you think, and because it still retains a lot of payload capacity, and towing capacity. Whats so wrong with your work vehicle also being your fun vehicle?

Throw some nice side skirts (a nice front bumper wouldn’t hurt either*) on there and jazz up the interior so I don’t feel like I’m driving a base model and I’ll be %100 in love with this. As it sits I’m %99 in love with it.

I’m not sure I follow.

I agree, a lot of Harley parts are bulky just to give it “that look” or to add to that sense of quality. Having just sold a Sportster for a Japanese cruiser I can say that there are areas however where the Harley does feel like a much higher quality part (at the cost of some extra weight). The biggest one for me is

Check out their Instagram page, if you have Instagram that is. I actually think they’re doing a pretty good job at marketing towards younger people. They’re really good about supporting custom bikes and builders, and related events and gatherings. In the real world though it’s still pretty much nothing but old farts

They could certainly shave a little weight, but keep in mind that the new Harleys have nearly triple the engine that your DL650 does. And even though they are fairly hefty, they carry their weight down low and hide it very well.
