Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is “secured” by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time.

I’m conflicted. On one hand, I’ve seen this hack a million places and it seems like LH is just jumping on the bandwagon at this point. On the other hand, this is actually a Life Hack, which isn’t something we’ve been seeing a lot of on this site for... a while.

I would be much more worried about commercially trained models being re-purposed for ill than home-grown ones.

I thin you’re underestimating the cost of training these models. They can RUN on basic consumer grade hardware, and you can fine-tune them a bit. But we aren’t (yet) at a place where someone can train up a brand new model on their home PC or even a repurposed crypto-mine at a reasonable speed.

I agree that in general I get better results from ChatGPT than Stack Overflow these days. However, there are still a number of important reasons why we need SO, and why SO needs to prevent generative AI content.

I think it likely that many people would in fact do it of their own choosing - there are still some personal advantages to take from it and many people would “serve” just for the PR or for personal ideology. So I don’t think it would need to be mandated. There are a LOT of people, and not that many positions at the

Presumably? Because whoever decided what app to use was familiar with it and chose it. And only later realized the deficiency. In other words: Did not do the research.

Probably need to sub to see the VOD? but it’s here:

I do have to agree with a lot of the other comments: It seems unwise to choose a messaging platform that you know doesn’t have the features you require when there are so many platforms out there. Like sure, Slack should add end to end encryption, that would be nice for all their users. But if you require this feature,

Many groups use Slack, not just workplaces.

Headline is badly written. Generally, if “protest” is the verb in a sentence, the object of the sentence is the thing that the subject is unhappy with. The implication in the headline is that they are upset with Slack... because it has beefed up encryption. What the title intends to say, is that they are demanding

Sure, but I would expect some of them to be. Well, elected ones at least. I don’t really expect judges to be experts in anything but the law but I expect elected officials to be experts in something and for anyone they appoint to be an expert in something relevant to the appointment.

It sure helps with the whole "refusing to eat it because they're scummy" when the food is also bad.

At first I couldn’t log in due to unexplained error. Eventually got in, and there was no indication in the app whether my existing subscription still includes 4k (press release says yes, but the app doesn’t tell you) and there’s no way to actually upgrade subscription tier so that’s... Nice.

Seems unlikely, the Apple App Store is a much tougher approval process.

How hard is it to anticipate the need to turn a burner down earlier? Or just pick up the pot if you make a mistake and it starts to boil over.

I feel like they would get further by focusing on the health issues, and not poking the bear that is environmental politicism. Why invite the climate deniers to oppose you when a simple “this makes most people sick if they drink it” is really the strongest and most easily accepted argument here?

Not to mention how important this is for anyone who wants to take birth control, and is being prevented from doing so by another person. Be that person a parent or guardian, an abusive partner, etc. Many people, especially younger ones, are unable to get a prescription not because a doctor won’t prescribe it, or even

Yeah, if only we could have one open ecosystem where devices with different OSs could all be part of a network that trackers from many different vendors would all work with... Too bad the chances of Apple playing ball are practically zero.

Gosh, how long has it been that we have had these voice assistants and had issues like this? From people on Xbox Live literally turning off the consoles of other players in an online game, to songs canceling alarms... this is a known issue and has been for a long time. You would think they would try something to fix
