Nice! I was thinking of doing something like that. A friend simply put out a box with towels and a heat lamp in a spot out of the wind that does get used, but I don’t have a good spot near an outlet (for the lamp).

Think before you comment, this isn’t difficult. A lot of people (such as me) are aware of feral cats that live around them. My local kitty likes American cheese slices, so I keep them on hand to give to her when she drops by. I’ve been thinking it’s getting cold and I don’t know if she has a warm place to sleep as

Ha, that reminds me - I’m a beer lover (and a woman), my SO (a man) often orders a cocktail. I’d say 9 times out of 10 he is handed my beer (when the person bringing it isn’t the person who took the order). I notice and think ‘I see your sexist assumption’, but I can’t say I’ve ever given a shit.

No shit, it’s like the Well Actually club decided to convene in the comments, geesh.

Excellent tweets.

And if a candidate pauses, another candidate WILL interrupt.

And that ‘No! I’m serious!’ was very telling, too. He thinks he’s saying such a bold thing to say that a man shouldn’t raise his hand at a woman. ‘NO REALLY, I KNOW IT SOUNDS WACKY BUT I’M GONNA SAY OUT LOUD THAT MEN SHOULD IN FACT NOT HIT WOMEN YOU GUYS!’

That bread from Cafe Vienna looks like a work of art *chef’s kiss*. And I agree that poppy seeds can be a perfect contrast to something buttery and sweet.

Indian food is always going to be better than turkey.

I’m am American woman who’s been to the UAE a couple times, and I’ve seen other segregated spaces. In Abu Dhabi, there’s a female-only beach, for example. And some restaurants have female-only spaces, as well.

The ‘friend’ is being a dick by applying all of that pressure to attend (‘...since you couldn’t attend the last few’ - fuck offffffffff).

I too inherited my mom’s old can openers when I left for college at 18. It lasted until I was at least in my early 30s and it was from K-Mart.

I like an occasional YA read, and I used to love Weiner’s books (who isn’t a YA author). It’s not that I’m ‘cancelling’ her now, everyone makes mistakes, but this pile-on felt like bullying and that’s certainly tainted my view of every one of the authors who joined in. There are SO many books I want to read,

“I seen you tilt!” LOL amazing, good for her.

Frying them in salted, browned butter tastes way better than this method.

I’m not vegan, but I love coconut milk and coconut cream.

The butter dish is kept in a cupboard.

One keeps the butter dish in a cupboard, it’s the Midwestern way :-)

Yes that browned-butter-powdered-milk tip was next level.
