Yeah, he’s operating under the dubious premise that fascists have been “activated”, and that the only way to deal with them is to give them just enough to then “de-activate” them. Only then can you get them to think about different issues that aren’t intrinsically destructive to the fabric of democracy.

Given how historically accurate the film was, they might as well just go for broke in the next one and have it be about Brian May inventing a time machine, so they can have all sorts of excellent and/or bogus adventures.

Lee Pace’s turn as Ronan in this movie did nothing to contribute to the character we saw in GotG and was essentially a complete waste.
