Between this and the Trump/Pence logo, I am now convinced that there is a maybe not-so-small group of Republican operatives secretly trying to bring down Trump from the inside.

This is how Swift greeted Tom Hiddleston for their first date.
This is all a publicity stunt and everyone is in on it.
I have a friend whose husband is a cop (who I’ve met and, from all appearances, is not even remotely racist). She commented on a Facebook post of mine comparing a police officer (properly) de-escalating a situation where a white male was standing in an aggressive stance with his hand on his holster vs. Alton Sterling,…
“Eurotrash” isn’t an actual thing, though. It’s not an oppressed class, either. Like “ugly American” isn’t really a xenophobic insult.
I believe it was a tongue-in-cheek response to someone claiming he is smarter than all the actual US citizens voting in a US election because he voted for someone, somewhere, in 1980.
What? Why in god’s name is this your hill to die on? You’d be better served defending what this non-American is actually saying, not clutching your pearls over some derogatory terms that two — count them, TWO — people called them, as opposed to addressing what pretty much everybody else in this thread is saying. Not…
not everyone who votes Democratic is as progressive as we’d like them to be
I seem to remember a past Gawker post where a Berniebro insisted that even though Clinton is far and away the frontrunner and leaving Sanders in the dust, that she should abdicate and try to become Sanders’ VP. And then refused to see how fucking sexist that was.
Just stop. You clearly don’t care about chronology, evolution of language, understanding history in context, or anything more complex than memes. Take your 18-yr old know it all ass home and dig into the actual historical documents yourself. Stop being spoonfed shit by Karl Rove (do you even know who he is?) that is…
I honestly believe the “establishment” is a term borrowed from the ‘60s that has no relevance now for either Bernie or Hillary. I think Bernie pulled it out of his ass as a rallying cry from days of old. If there is an ‘establishment’ at all, Bernie, per his 30 years of being in Congress, WOULD BE IN IT. That’s it.
I am a pretty goddamn liberal progressive person and I didn’t vote for Bernie because he lacks the ability to work with people to make progress. You can have all the goddamn fairy tales and unicorn jizz fests you want...progress happens by compromise and hard work.
I would also add that Hillary did not only pull the Center Dems. I’m a progressive, and a registered independent, and I only had to glance at Bernie’s website to know he was not the candidate for me. I am not alone in this. I’ve posted it elsewhere on Jez, but this purity test liberal BS coming from the Berniecrats is…
I’m taking the gloves off with the Bernie faction. BTW, full disclosure, I voted for him in my state’s primary. This shit has got to stop. There is too much at stake for a bunch of bitching about the DNC essentially doing its goddamn JOB just because people are butthurt that not everyone who votes Democratic is as…
As always, Dems always trying to snatch defeat out from the jaws of victory. IT LITERALLY DOES NOT GET EASIER THAN THIS, YOU FOOLS. STOP THIS INFIGHTING AND FOCUS ON DEFEATING THAT HATEFILLED BOTTLE OF SUNKIST KNOWN AS TRUMP.
I don’t understand the argument against closed primaries. Caucuses are far more un-democratic and isn’t it logical for members of a political party to choose their own nominee? Anyone is free to register for whatever party they would like to have a voice in.
Bingo. I used to be in a situation where I was the only woman in a group. I remember there was an annual conference that we got sent to. When a dude was in charge, the summary report after only needed to be a verbal, “It was great, learned a lot.” The year I was in charge, they made me submit a written report with…
She knows he hates all of it, but she shouldn’t have to change. She is fully informing her co-worker, which is just being a thoughtful and thorough colleague. She’s also creating a paper trail so his future idiocies don’t come back on her (which I’m sure he resents).
It is a power differential thing. Lots of people—but I’ll be honest, usually dudes—assert themselves by withholding info and being markedly casual in writing. If they’re not doing it on purpose, they’ve been taught to believe that they don’t owe others the time and effort it takes to share their work in depth. They’ve…
Hi Dan—
