As neat as this is, I foresee lots of issues with it, including terrible gas mileage bc they system fails or does not function as intended after significant real world use.

Had a wife that did this, so did i, but her jeep would stall if you didnt. POS wasnt worth the work to fix it. Sometimes its a must, but not under normal conditions.

Depends on the vehicle. Maybe dont drive a street legal 4 wheeled vehicle with a CVT. Snowmobiles as mentioned depend on this transmission, all gas golf carts have then (and who hasnt had fun in those?). I had a blast on a 250 scooter i had years ago.
