why will most people tell you it was a Monday? i mean i could see people not knowing, i remember being in class, so i know it was a weekday, but i wouldnt be able to tell you what day it was to save my life.

im not denigrating the position of goalie, and a lot of times they DO make great saves, but also a lot of times they’re just positioned how they’re supposed to be, and someone shoots a puck and it hits them, without them moving, and the announcers go wild.

lol i love NHL coverage of goalies. <guy shoots puck directly into chest of goalie> “OMG WHAT AN AMAZING SAVE BY ____!”

anyone else having all the embedded videos only showing the top half? maybe its just the gifs, like in the gif i assume the ref is supposed to be in the shot, but all i see is an ultra-widescreen view of the caps dude with the puck in slow-mo.

“Erik Haula, incensed over being checked to the ice by Anze Kopitar, butt-ended Kopitar in the face:” I’ve watched that gif like 10 times now and that’s quite a dive he took. i mean Kopitar’s head was fully to the left when he got hit, then like a second later he turns his head the other direction and then all the

im a pens fan, but im just here waiting for the article about tonights caps loss.

no, why?

ehhh, i dont think its right to make a blanket statement like that. a top ten or twenty private school is normally worth paying for, assuming youre getting a degree in an employable field.

on any given day, odds are there have been more Thursday the 12ths than Friday the 13ths.

that’s not at all my argument. my argument is that the caps took an incredibly stupid penalty and threw away the game.

well, the CBJ maybe wanted the game more, but they never had a lead, the entire game.  caps gave away the game, period, it was theirs to lose and they took an amazingly stupid penalty up a point with 5min left in regulation and lost the game for it. the only way that penalty could have occurred further from their net

dude, the bluejackets had penalties totaling 9 minutes in the first period. the first period! if you’re excuse is ‘but only if we had more penalties in our favor!’ then jeez, i don’t know what to tell you.

this was very enjoyable to watch. but im worried for the jackets guy whose face was caved in by a slapshot puck to the face.

not really, there are extremely subtle differences which can end up making a huge difference in the outcome with high levels of play like this. like the tetris documentary, guy could only do something using an original controller which are getting harder and harder to find. or in snake documentary, in one of the

it’s really not debatable. it’s not even debatable whether he’s good enough to be starting, he is. but the idea that he’s not even good enough for a backup position, that’s just preposterous (unless i missed something and he’s refusing to sign unless he’d be the starter).

how long does it take you to do the dishes? im not sure what the point would be if listening to 3 minutes of a podcast.

so we’re just not gonna talk about Crosby last night?

ok but did the ball go in the net.

i think you mean “bye felicia”, right?

so your proposal is that we should bring water to a boil for each item, individually, that needs to be de-crustified rather than soaking them all together? seems like a bad take. there’s a reason so many people soak their dishes, its quick, its simple, and it works.
