@Priper: Yeah it does have an advantage if apple pushes something, that's why it would be nice if they also saved it in some format like png or HD photo (originally MS I know but accepted as a public standard now I think) so that that gets more popular too.

@Priper: Graphics cards can already do 10bit, and there is talk in the industry to move more displays towards that direction, and if you have a real HDR then you can just look at it later when displays caught up.

So does the iphone save that picture as a PNG or something? Since a jpg only has 24bit and can't really store the HDR data.
