Wow... thats pretty extreme. Is this actually allowed? I understand they were part of a program and they probably broke a bunch of disclosure agreements, but bricking systems permanently sounds like overkill.

Half Life 3 will be as disappointing as the inevitable Final Fantasy VII remake.
I think that’s about as likely to happen as Final Fantasy VII getting a remake. Probably because if the two were released on the same day the internet might be permanently damaged.
That would require them to actually do work. Something they haven’t done in ages. The whole point of Steam is to generate money by doing nothing.
An optional donate feature would be much better.

I’m in the same situation as you, I always check every new Call of Duty each year, to see if it gets me interested or excited to play one, but I’m always left just indifferent about the series. I played World at War and Black Ops 1 and 2, but not a game after that.
