first use heat BEFORE pulling the sticker off. This will let most of it release with the sticker.
then use goo gone and/or WD40 to remove the rest of the gunk (what works best depends on the adhesive type)... do NOT attempt to scrape it off, microfiber, soft rubbing and plenty of goo gone or WD40 as lube and remover.
