Those articles were very illuminating. Thank you for sharing.

No to the baby storyline. I'm tired of females being written as if their primary goal in life is to get pregnant. Hayley's shown no interest in children thus far. Then again, Modern Family is the type of show to do that.

I was actually wondering how many of Supergirl's writers were female. A look at IMDb shows that there have been four female writers, including co-creator Ali Adler. Not counting the creators of Superman and Supergirl mythos Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel, there are six male writers, including co-creators of the TV

This was a very special effects driven show with a very special effects mandated supervillain, and I'm not surprised that it ended being one of the weaker episodes. The robot had no emotion and no motive, not unlike his human creator and master Dr. Morrow, which was the real disappointment. A story that gives

I deserve that. Upon some consideration, you're right.

The first trailer (I think) had Diana in civilian clothes getting into a car. I have a feeling that Diana might be some sort of diplomat, like I think she often is in the comics (I don't read many comics), which I think is a great role for her in this movie. I just wished her character was more developed, but this

It looks like Doomsday uses his heat blast vision/breath (something also ridiculous) on at least Batman with Superman nearby.

I hope so, because Doomsday's role seems to be a third and final act. That seems late to introduce Wonder Woman, but then again, this isn't her movie.

I agree, but the ex machina shouldn't be Wonder Woman's introduction to Batman and Superman, as their reactions seem to indicate. And it feels extremely contrived, even for an ex machina, for Wonder Woman to show up when Doomsday does.

Yes! Thank you! I don't understand the clown reference whatsoever, other than trying to conflate Superman and the Joker, but it makes no sense.

Perhaps Diana Prince is introduced beforehand, but based on Batman and Superman's awkward reactions, I'm guessing that is her first appearance to the two of them.

Pam, are you going to be playing the part of Lois Lane?

So Wonder Woman's introduction is a literal deus ex machina? That is probably the worst way to implement one.

I like the alternative Earth angle.

When I think about it, I think Kara fits the projection of a female version of the "nice guy", only actually being nice and not being self-entitled, so if they were to refer to her as a "nice girl", in reference to that trope, I don't know how that would come off.

No, not really. I get what you're talking about, but I think he's just a genuine person that has slightly… metrosexual tendencies that are hard to pick up on unless you're very perceptive about those sort of things. He could be bisexual. Maybe a guy entering the love… polygon might be a possibility?

In the comics, Henshaw was Cyborg Superman from the Reign of the Supermen. So, I don't think he will be the Martian Manhunter.

Comparing Jessica Jones to Supergirl is like comparing Daredevil to The Flash, but no one compares the latter two, or at least not that much. The only reason the former two are compared are because they both have a female lead, and that's sad, because people can enjoy both.

I swear, if this show gets cancelled, I will be so sad, but maybe The CW can pick it up, since they were offered the show before and the network's president has expressed regret over not picking it, so maybe it'd turn out for the best.

Maybe.
