I’m gonna go out on a limb here, so bare with me. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, we should stop developing and populating cities and towns in the middle of the desert in SW America?

Ultimately satellite measurements are what we can count on to be the most accurate. Unfortunately, that temperature data only started in 1979 so not a lot of history. As far as ground based data, it’s just a disaster. No standardized type of measurements or location installation/set up. Oh, and hundreds of ground…
Luckily the global human population growth rate is slowing down. Things will level off within the next 50 years, if not sooner.
I agree with your points about national security. However it’s worth noting that the USA is now a net exporter of fossil fuels.
yeah and guess what, all those records show that the earth has been warmer than now. Many, many times over! Without human factors at play. OMG!
It’s easy to do that when the temperature data sets are always “adjusted” upwards.
it’s definitely easy. Two words: Nuclear power.
So you’re saying, that even if the warming is natural, we as humans, should STOP it from further warming? I’m curious to know why you think that, as most of the bright periods of human history coincided with global “warm periods”.
Hardly surprising, given the cooking of the books, so to speak (pun intended). Remove all these “adjustments” from the data and there’s not much to talk about.
I guess that’s why temp stopped increasing 18+ years ago, eh? Because we’re speeding it up? Yeah okay got it.
Can we all please move on past this moronic idea of alarmist climate change? There’s no factual scientific work to support such a thing will actually occur. How about we focus on real problems like improving clean water access for developing nations and cleaning up all the radioactive waste in the former Soviet Union…
The Gobi desert is 500 million sq miles eh?
Have you been living under a rock? It’s 100% going to come with AWD.
Did you really just confuse Porsche’s smallest coupe (Cayman) with a CUV?
Really not a big deal flying into/out of LGA. It’s my preferred NYC metro area airport to use. So what if it looks like rubbish? Flights for LGA are cheaper, and it’s closer to Manhattan than the other airports.
Hey buddy, I’m one of the “working class” that owns a Porsche. Worked hard to earn the money for a 2006 Cayman S! Way to pass judgement on someone that spends $30k on a sports car. Makes me wonder what you think of people that spend $60k on a new pickup truck.
What’s your problem? Porsches are actually sports cars for people that actually punish them at the track. Not like your usual Ferrari/Lambo owner that won’t ever set foot on a track.
I’ve had a few wheel bearings replaced, but never in pairs. Nor has any mechanic ever recommended it to me. Shocks, springs, brake pads and/or rotors sure, but wheel bearings? Meh, not necessary.
Same service intervals? I beg to differ. My Acura has gone over 200k miles on one of it’s 2 front wheel bearings. Hell, I’ve never replaced either of the rear wheel bearings, and they’re still humming along nicely at 300k+ miles.
I’d be excited if Kia made their small RWD sports coupe. This? Zero sh*ts given.
