As horribly obnoxious as Carla is, she did make a good point there.

Considering that Kuniko seemed to be on the verge of vomiting the entire time she was competing, she took her elimination quite well. Too well, actually. It seemed like she may have been relieved not to have to compete anymore. Like, maybe she was subconsciously sabotaging herself?

The film festival just finished up this past weekend, so things are kind of slow on the cinematic front in StL right now. I am, however, currently watching Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden at my house in South County, so, uh, there's that.

@avclub-5fdbaa11bd42c308322756f60f43785f:disqus I think Albini still buys into the idea of "authenticity," that records should sound like real live people playing instruments who care about the music, not selling records. If you take that view, autotune is about the least authentic thing you could ever do on a record.

Probably "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk." Albini produced that one, right?

That's where my foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of Dashboard Confessional's "Vindicated" comes from. I had not one, but two, freshman year roommates who incessantly blasted that whiny turd of a song.

Your comment has made me unreasonably excited about the idea of a remake of The Big Lebowski starring Steve Albini as the Dude. Instead of White Russians, he drinks black coffee. Instead of battling nihilists, he joins them. Instead of liking CCR and hating the Eagles, he hates everything.
