Agreed. Plus, the idea of a multi-bazillionaire trumpeting the virtues of a world without possessions is pretty obnoxious.

My understanding is that Lynch uses transcendental meditation to conceive his films. He apparently meditates every day, which apparently helps him tap into his sub-conscious. He's a true believer and even runs seminars on TM, so I'm not sure why he should be "called out" for evangelizing it.

Louisville is also home to Wild and Woolly Video, one of the coolest video stores in country. So Lawrence has no excuse!

I think it's probably harder to find a mainstream comics writer/artist who doesn't hold ridiculous political/social/scientific/religious beliefs than one who does. I mean, two of the most famous writers of the past 30 years — Moore and Morrison — practice fucking magic!

It is my great shame that I actually live in Todd Akin's former legislative district. That guy has been a piece of shit for years, and I am extraordinarily happy that he has become the laughing stock of the nation and the poster boy for the ignorance and misogyny of the extreme religious right.

Well, Tom Servo (Kevin Murphy) and TV's Frank are liberals — as anyone who follows them on Twitter knows quite well — so the show remained fair and balanced.

Yeah, remember that Jadakiss song that was actually a pretty big hit despite the line, "Why did Bush knock down the towers?"

There was recently a story on my local alt-weekly's website about how you, Mr. Corgan, were in my town (St. Louis) and ending up eating at a shitty restaurant in South County suburbia called 'Psghettis, located about a mile from the house I grew up in. 'Psghettis is inexplicably beloved, possibly because of their

I love the message from the Hollywood executive at the beginning of The Bellboy warning us that the movie will not have a plot. And then he's right. It doesn't.

The Geisha Boy isn't one of my favorites, but one thing I really like about the emotional aspect is that it teases a romance between Lewis and Susanne Plechette only to drop it in favor of a much more interesting romance between Lewis and the Japanese woman.
