While I’ve used all recent iterations of Windows, I’m still a fan of Windows 7. Maybe I’m stubborn and old school, but that’s been my favorite version, possibly of all versions. It’s not as pretty, but what it skips in aesthetics, it makes up for in simplicity and actually working as intended.

Yeah, I don’t get the constant need to update the UI. For my money, Windows 7 was (hell, still is) the perfect interface. Everything works splendidly, things are easy to get to, you can customize it without having to install multiple 3rd-party programs, it’s very safe, very stable, and you don’t have stupid stuff…

A few years back 13 cops emptied 137 rounds into 2 people, even standing on the hood of their car and shooting into the car, stopping to reload during. None were convicted of anything. Sooo.

Hand-over-hand emergency maneuvers are now impossible as you try to reach for thin air in a panic. Signaling is no longer second nature with the turn of the wheel guiding your hand in the proper direction for a stalk. Long road trips are going to result in more fatigue as you must keep both hand at 9 and 3 for both…

Venting is not that hard. You know that there are cars with whole engines “in the trunk” right? My 3 series wagon battery is under the cargo floor. This isn’t new.

A lot of the newer vehicles use AGM batteries that don’t vent gasses; the Ford Transit(the large one) has its unvented AGM battery directly under the driver’s seat.

This is pretty common. Most Chrysler, err FCA, err Stelantis products have batteries under the front passenger seat. A lot of newer Japanese cars have them in the cabin too.

No, seriously, that’s exactly how they vent it. There’s a tube that connects to the side of the battery and runs through a grommet to outside. Pretty much all Ford hybrids from 2013 up use this setup, or at least a form of it.

Also, in case people need to remember, driving a taxi is more fucking deadly than being a cop and no one thanks taxi drivers for their service and worships them as heroes.
