@icarus212001: FTA: 'There are at least a half-dozen of them'

damn, I thought this was real, as in, some kind of painted steel mesh hood replacement...

@fallenvash: I thought the parallax barrier idea was for non-glasses 3D tech...

@amazingmao: exactly, there's got to be more to it than just the refresh rate, 'cause there are a ton of 120Hz (and higher) tv's already on the market. anyone?

Call me naive... but, why can't the PS3 just output the shuttered left/right eye imagery to the TV, and all you'd need is for the glasses to sync with the PS3? what extra processing and/or hardware component does the TV itself need to do, that the PS3 can't?

@meatbag_pussrocket: had to deal with the same thing with my '71 vw type II transporter (bus), but damn do I miss that vehicle

@secretpizzaparty: ignorant, adj., lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified

@SewerShark: it's the Simpsons, the animated homage to ignorance, pretty much par for the course. I'm a huge fan of both the show and of soccer, and I laughed. so what if a good portion of the USofA doesn't 'get' soccer, it's still the most popular sport in the world, I just don't get why some people have to get all

@SewerShark: you do realize that it's a joke, right?

@wishnias: whoops, kenshi beat me to it... guess I should click 'show all discussions' first, eh?

@Cop Toffee: yep, that song is called 'heartbeats' and is actually a cover, originally recorded by 'the knife', and the Jose Gonzalez album is entitled 'veneer'... I became a fan after tracking down the bravia bouncy balls commercial info

@Pessimippopotamus: bingo. more high speed contact with NASCAR and IRL. Also, running predominately on oval tracks, contact and spins typically throw the car towards the wall on the outside of a turn. F1 runoff areas help substantially.

@willyolio: um... this was IndyCar, not F1, which has had 9 fatal accidents (including CART and USAC) since 1982

@GeneSnoogans: Mitch Hedberg did that joke... but better... ;)

@CloserDivision: I know what you mean... if they would have let me rock the dead-eye on the 22-shot repeater, that's most of 'em in one go. even as it was still a cut scene I was eyeing up the barn for a loft window to shoot from. but in the context of the story it really did made sense.

@-MasterDex-: IIRC, photo-mode is a higher rez capture as well.

@Matt0505: please define the difference between PS3's 1080p output and what you call 'native'? not being a jerk, genuinely interested.
