I thought it was really good. The editorial take on it here had this bizarre angle of constantly complaining it wasn’t the show they were expecting, which weirdly carried on throughout the whole season. Which you’d think that by two or three episodes you’d perhaps figure that one out.

I think more likely the music is what caused the Burn.

I would guess that the music and the Burn are somehow connected. Maybe it being transmitted across subspace?

If you want unfit Star Trek captains (or admirals) I suggest watching any episode of TNG with an admiral in it.
