Whenever I go on a press launch in Virginia I'm stunned the automaker held it there. Last week I did Acura TLX in Virginia and I noticed the entire drive actually went through West Virginia — I suspect that wasn't a coincidence.

I'm sorry you had to do this in Virginia. It's utter bullshit and all about the revenue. I have to drive thru VA regularly. On I-95 I know where the speed traps are and STILL won't run more than 7 over the limit. US 58 from I-95 over to Norfolk was the worst speed trap on the east coast; worse than the worst bung…

I don't think there should be any press drives there. The risks are too great. Not that any of that excuses speeding or bad behavior in a press car, of course.

Other Class One misdemeanors in Virginia include animal cruelty, sexual battery, and aiming a firearm at someone. This is how the state regards people who drive over 80 mph.

I had to drive a friend down to VA from NJ for a speeder he got in a rural county. He got clocked at 103, written for 95. His lawyer told him to go down the day before and check into the jail voluntarily, which he did. The prosecutor tried to throw a week in jail at him, a $2000.00 fine, and a year's license…

Unfortunately I have to drive in the God forsaken state everyday. Vast majority of cops here are dicks, I lived in MI up until I was 23 and had 2 tickets, moved here and had 3 my first year including one for 6 mph over :/
