GM was definitely speaking to its reliability issues back in the day with that integrated toolkit. I had one of those in my Dodge as well - it was called a plastic bag full of wrenches.

We’ve actually had some red-headed woodpeckers (I think) eat from our feeder, it’s fun to watch them hang off of the perch.

Sprinkle some cayenne pepper around the area where the feeder is - that usually deters the cats from that area. We had a similar issue with some neighborhood feral cats, having this around the feeder kept them away from it.

I’m 6'1" and haven’t had an issue with smaller cars.
