If I remember it correctly, the second Elite Squad wasted a few too many scenes on family-melodrama and a rather thin political plot line.  It is still, per @avclub-c7cece5f44bd07bd0c0a4f2b6e51e6ad:disqus's  tastes, a really smart, well-executed action film.

A country may do a lot of things right, but still fail terribly at certain, irrelevant things.  I see no contradiction in being a Francophile in general but a hater of mimes simultaneously.

I always liked her character and season 4 brought the most interesting developments for her.  People tend to want more scheming/badassery from Jesse and Walt, but I always enjoyed watching her try and figure out what her husband was up to while maintaining some degree of normalcy in their marriage.  Taking an active

Economist articles will show up on various news reader programs and alerts.  You also don't need to be a subscriber to post comments, so there you go.

It looks like Disney's take on 300, which I don't believe anyone ever asked for.

SAY VAN DELAY!  SAY VAN DELAY!

Useful?  No.  A fun novelty for when drunk/stoned?  I am only guessing, but, yes.

They had a similar article pointing out similar problems in Chinese soccer a few months back.  Oddly, soccer has been one case where importing coaches and training methods (mostly Dutch coaches) had done wonders elsewhere (South Korea, Greece, Turkey), but had failed in China.

I see what you did there.

Put that way, I do like that making Waylan's reckoning with Winona pretty anti-climactic was actually kind of cool.  That said, the thought of the writers dredging up a plot point from last season that I didn't care for just irritated me while watching it.  To their credit, they wrapped it up nicely.  That doesn't

Nice catch.  Now that you mention it, I do remember those conversations from the first or second episode.

Brett Ratner's book shelf at his house contains translations of the 'Big Butt Book' in 21 languages, including the controversial tagalog edition.

Do they call 900 numbers to hear them discuss trends in film and play pop-culture trivia games?

Although they have yet to record anything, the Archers of Load reunion tour has been great so far and definitely inspires confidence about any more recordings.

One of the Real Housewives stole the identity of a soldier stationed in Korea.  It was a weird episode.

I really wish they would show Limehouse doing something other than barbecue or carve a pig that will inevitably be barbecued.  We don't need to see his home life necessarily, but would it be too much to show him holding shop outside the vicinity of dead pigs?  His dressing down of his lieutenant made it clear why he

I think, as with Skyler, there are limits to what you can do with characters who want to play by the rules in shows that are fundamentally about breaking the rules.  Where Walt was breaking the law and keeping Skyler in the dark about it, Raylan is pursuing his own version of justice and Winona doesn't want to be a

That would put him along the same trajectory as the hot red-head from Blackstone last season.  It almost seems too easy to have the arrogant outsider undone by underestimating the locals.

I love that Boyd was looking for more or less the same information and couldn't even give Raylan that satisfaction of knowing that.  Boyd has a very impressive poker face.

I think I have been watching this show pretty closely and I haven't noticed any conversations with a family. His phone conversations always appear to be with his superiors in thr Detroit mafia. Was there an allusion to a family that I missed?
