One thing that surprises me is how much Trump’s dropped out of the spotlight since leaving office. Even though it was a relief not having to hear about his tweets constantly, I didn’t think it would make as much of an impact as it has.

This is my question too. Liberal/conservative/whatever, who looks at the utter garbage fire that was this guy’s presidency and says “Yup, we need more”?

Trying to remain somewhat cheerfully optimistic here, I think Trump is aging out - he needs a reason to get up in the morning and right now he doesn’t have one. I suppose he could guest on Fox but other than that.... no barrage of tweets, Facebook baloney etc is currently available to him. No megaphone, no rallies.…

And on top of all this, 40% of Republicans agree that violence is acceptable when election results don’t go their way. Scary people.

Both the 2o18 mid-terms and elections like the GA run-offs showed that Trump loving Republicans have a hard time winning elections when he is not on the ballot with them. Based on the general election and on Georgia, the Trump influence appears to result in Democrats winning elections. So, as much as I’d love to never hear about any of these assholes ever again, I guess they can stick around if it means they continue to poison their own well.

Sometimes I’ll see someone counter the idea of “this person got a large loan from their parents” with something like “ok but they could have gotten the same loan from the bank, it was the idea and hard work that counts” and while that is technically accurate, it leaves out what happens to most people who get big loans…

No, that’s essentially it. Lobsters don’t have vocal chords so screaming isn’t possible.
