Ho. ly. Shit.
Ho. ly. Shit.
Ahhh that day was so great when this happened. Destined for gifage.
Ugh. They all look tight and dry as fuck, esp in the apples of the cheeks. Which he clearly loves to death, given his own stay puffed face.
Thanks for the polite explanation at the bottom there. I will mull on this, as I do when I get some new information added to my perspective.

p.s. also this Trek/Scifi convo has continued on longer than my dearest dreams. Thank you.
It helped mine too. Also, this is no trope of Trek alone. Science fiction has historically pushed us along on human rights concepts by use of allegory/metaphor to try to inception the idea of broader acceptance into our brains.
On top of which bigots will make sure any outright literature on marginalized rights does…
Side slides into your comment thread. Hey, new bestie.
True, true. Esp because she understood that host changes would likely happen again. Still love the Trill’s respect for her boundaries ^__^
I know! I have problems with that part too, urgh.
Good! Then this releases them from shame!
That is a good point.
Could’ve saved this thing if she’d said it felt absurd to her personally, or something. Or how she was unable to run in the discomfort of a tampon (tampon discomfort is a real thing) but the idea of her quitting was absurd.
Blergh.
She said why she didn’t use any tampons or pads or cups. She deliberately wanted to make a statement to draw attention to women who have access to none of these.
You are totally right about this. I am happy to ignore men all together in my personal life, so the episodes did a lot for me. But it didn’t do a lot for gay men at home.
THIS is what I’m here for.
The best part of this episode was how the Trill’s final female host is there to say “what difference does our love make as same sex” which meant a lot to me as a bisexual growing up. And it’s totally okay that Beverly wasn’t alright with pursuing it, and the host respected that and moved on. Consent AND quasi…
Yah I used to skip them as a young wellingtonbear. But I just respect Kira and Visitor herself too much to not give her props for acting as a lesbian on network TV. She carried it, she committed, lesbians on TV make a huge difference to see, esp for other lesbians.
Not to mention Jadzia straight up made out with her ex-live’s wife, they wanted to start their relationship fresh again in their new hosts. Only the incredible Trill taboo against doing so derailed it in the end.
PLUS the Mirror Universe has Dax (both hosts Jadzia and Ezri) in a gay r’ship with Kira.
The eyebrow height that KatieKaBoom mentioned is said to be a brow lift, based on how it changed the overall shape of her face and they stay up there, utterly fixed. Also, nose job. Her nose shape now reflects Kim and their mother’s work pretty much to a T when you compare them.
Omg I’m so happy you do cuss. I thought it was just not to your taste. Squee!
