There isn’t a lot I can say that hasn’t already been said, so I’ll just point out that capitalism is a system in which not only will a company murder your dog rather than jeopardize its profits with a delay, but also set things up so you won’t stop them because you’re too afraid of what they’ll do to you.

I’d rather they had killed off Rick. Then we could have had a power struggle with people wanting to take Rick’s place.

Which is, honestly, the reason I stopped watching. I still like to “check in” on whats going on via io9, but I can’t stand how the show kills people off by, as you said, betraying the character. (I myself prefer the term character assassination).

I’m still bitter about the show killing him. It didn’t feel like a necessary step for the story. It felt like the writers going for a cheap emotional grab.

United also killed that giant bunny last year...Fuck United!

It was a betrayal of the character, which is just as annoying.

He got shot twice on the show and survived.

Thank you for writing and sharing this horrible, horrible story. I am appalled that the flight attendant suggested that in the first place, that the owner agreed to it, and at the comments calling the owner a murderer for bringing her dog on an airplane. At what point do we all collectively agree that we are failing

He should get some credit. He could have quit to “explore new opportunities”. Whether or not he is a good guy is beside the point. He had many options and took the one of burning bridges for the sake of exposing Satan’s work. That is worthwhile. We should encourage these defections.

SMDH I guess even individuals doing the right thing cannot catch a break around here.

This little ball of fluff used to sleep in her own bed (on my bed), but now she’s taken to curling up and resting her head on my feet. That said there was this one time where I was side sleeping and she crawled under the cover, with her head poking out and resting under my chin. Without a doubt, CUTEST thing she has

I logged in just to star this. Kitties who love to sleep next to their humans are the best.

I love sleeping in bed with pets! My current kitty will occasionally sleep in the bed with me and my husband, but she goes through phases (one week it will be in bed, the next on a nightstand, etc.)

As a person who allows the dog to sleep in her bed, I say cats are a hell of a lot easier to bed share with. My dog is a fan of occupying an entire queen bed (sideways usually, of course) and farting in your face.

I have a chair right next to my bed. (I put it there for my older cat for ease of getting off and on my higher than normal bed)

I don’t think it’s the exit that upset him, so much as the really crap way it was done. TWD cast members all expect a ‘farewell dinner’ at some point or another. But the show also has a bad habit of writing out characters in a way that would shame Acorn Antiques.

no deaths in the Little House books

AKA the “just trust us” flavor of employment protection.

Also love the attitude that they’d rather fire teachers than just make the implication an explicit.

...but they say their current discrimination policy is meant to include LGBTQ youth and staff, even if there is no actual language stating so.
