The donate X for Y thing can work out pretty well. Marketing folks aren’t always tied into the CFO or board. So if a company has slotted some random number - say $100M - to give away, a stunt like this can force their hand into doing $120M for that year. 

I think I’ve seen it only mentioned once or twice, which surprised me, but one of my biggest re-watches is Groundhog Day. Which I’ll even be seeing in the theater for the first time tomorrow.

As a former grocery stooge I’ve seen many a bad theme slogan, usually cooked up by wannabe marketing types who can’t take their foot out of their mouth. The very worst was shrimpsgiving. It was depressingly renewed and even trademarked, despite no tangible financial gain.

Way too rushed in that final season. I think HBO would change that now - going back to a full episode order and perhaps an additional season. Some banked on shows never quite filled in as expected (Leftovers, Newsroom, Vinyl, even TD given its unexpected stop).

I love Dan and Deb and their brewery but just never clicked with Spotted Cow. Always thought their Belgian Red was their signature brew. Agree with the Moon Man love (shout out to Cabin Fever too).
