Cool catch but this seems more like a prop has a number that’s 1 off. Or if it was meant to signify that Lorca didn’t have them do 133 jumps as they intended, that’s still not “a plot hole so large you could fit Stamets’ galaxy brain through it.” It’s either a small prop goof or not a plot hole at all.

In the second season Lillian tells Lena that Lionel had an affair with Lena’s bio-mom, and after the bio-mom died, insisted the Luthors adopt Lena. So she is a Luthor, born and bred, and she knows it. http://arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Luthors

The episode is very clear that Mudd is not actually in love with Stella. The characters have multiple conversations about this! He likes to tell himself (and everyone else) about his romantic star crossed love affair, but he’s actually been on the run from her ever since he ran out on her with her dowry. Mudd acts

The Discovery definitely uses some classic TOS gadgets like the hand held communicators (I keep forgetting that their badges aren’t communicators!) and the medical whirly thing. And the transporter looks a bit old school as well.

Just in “Lethe” alone there are several scenes that don’t hinge on tension, like Tilly and Michael running and talking about Tilly’s career, Tilly and Michael arguing about what food to get, Michael and Sarek talking after she’s rescued him, Michael and Ash talking about emotions and family at the end of the episode...

I too would really like to see more of them and figure out their deals, but in fairness we’ve only had 4 episodes with the Discovery. In that time, show has done introductions and solid character development for Lorca, Michael, Ash, Tilly, Stamets, Suru and Culver already.

Michael isn’t the strongest, smartest, most powerful person in the universe, and she doesn’t have magic. All of this was actually explained in the episode. Why complain that a member of Starfleet is hyper competent? All the rest of them are, too!

“Last episode, Burnham launches the tardigrade into space (yeah! well done!), with no clear indication on her having informed anyone else of this decision.” Saru broadly hinted that she ought to do it, and Stamets and Tilly were aware of and helped her launch the tardigrade. We haven’t seen Lorca react to this yet,

I would be surprised if this was the last we saw of the extremist faction of Vulcans. This is just the first time we’ve seen them on Discovery; I wouldn’t expect them to be fully explained right off the bat. This seems rather like how the Maquis were—they were shallowly introduced at first, and then as the seasons

Yeah, I loved how multiple characters immediately resolved that they needed to protect the space-tardigrade’s after the doctor and Michael found evidence that it was suffering and possibly sentient. I had expected Michael and maybe Tilly, but I was so pleased that Saru would be willing to hurt his career, and Stamets

I really liked this episode, except for how the needs of the future narrative (we gotta have a personally known enemy!) too obviously led to Lorca scarring and enraging the Klingon captain but leaving her alive when it felt like there was time to get off at least another few shots.

Ooh,I like that idea!

“I agree that the implication is that Littlefinger was set up. Which doesn’t really make sense considering that the show makes clear he has paid informants around Winterfell who should have tipped him off, if he hadn’t figured it out already.”
It is precisely because he has paid informants in Winterfell that the Starks

Both were asked about reparations. Here’s Hillary’s answer: “I’ll tell you what, I think we need to make many more investments in everything from pre-school education to affordable housing, that’s my form of trying to give people the chance to be empowered, to make the most out of their god-given potential. I’ll try

I think either Sansa or Jon’s plan for those castles would’ve worked. Either way they’d have someone loyal ruling the Karstark and Umber lands. And I think it’s useful to keep in mind that the same thing that makes the Karstark and Umber heirs likely to be loyal to Jon in the future—their extreme youth and

Jon has already been literally stabbed in the back because he made a unilateral decision and then didn’t sell it to enough of his followers, or protect himself against their frustration. Of all people, you’d think he’d know the importance of convincing the lords that they should follow his decisions not just because

I don’t recall that? To my recollection, when he meets Art3mis she looks just like her hottie avatar, except she has a birthmark.

Aww man. On the one hand, I’d love to see some fantasy that isn’t set in faux-medieval faux-England. On the other hand, I disliked Who Fears Death. With any luck the adaptation will keep all the cool worldbuilding and make Onyesonwu and friends more palatable characters.

To my knowledge a municipality or state can regulate chemicals to protect public safety or health. But something like chlorpyrifos in groundwater could obviously enter a banned state by being present in neighboring states. It’s precisely because pollution does not stop at borders that the EPA exists.
