I don't know, I don't think I've ever seen US news outlets make a big deal out of the "collateral damage" of CIA assassinations. I mean, drone strikes alone have assuredly killed some children along the way.

I think out of all TV teenagers, Dana has reason for some real angst. Her dad is a nationally wanted traitor-terrorist and basically ruined their family's life. She'll never be able to get out from the shadow of Nicholas Brody, and she knows it.

Saul's hearing was in a room full of people and press, broadcast on a fictional version of either CNN or C-SPAN that Carrie was watching from home. You are probably remembering Carrie's closed-door hearing, or they added the audience and stuff in post-production.

Whoa, that's Donald Glover as a random thug?

Yeah, but that's out of the subset of people who can afford new cars. If you include all automotive transactions then I imagine you're even farther above average, balla.

He has thyroid cancer, bro.

Yeah, these things definitely still exist. I know several friends' moms who try to sell "açai berry" drinks that they bought by the case from some shady distributor. In fact Invigorate is almost definitely based on MonaVie.

And the theme song is by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas' band, The Solids. I encourage people to check out the full version, it's pretty good!

I think Gilligan &co have thrown us for a loop so often that sometimes we fans overthink things. I can't say for sure that the ricin is for Lydia by any means, I just find her a much more likely candidate than Eliot and Gretchen. Walt, for all his questionable moral decisions, has never shown an interest in harming

There's no way the ricin is for Eliot and Gretchen. Their interview may have pissed Walt off, but the most important part was Charlie Rose mentioning that the blue meth is still being distributed in the Southwest and even in Europe. Walt's grudge is still with Jack and the Nazis.

Danny's general old-man aversion to technology always cracks me up.

I'd say there's a certain Southern culture that transcends the actual southern states themselves. There are plenty of areas near where I grew up in Ohio that resemble the South in terms of religion, heritage, and accent much more than, say, Cleveland. An easy way to judge this is by the preponderance of Confederate

KIND-OF SPOILER:  He actually does get punched at some point

Agreed, the scene with her parents was a great glimpse into her past. I'm not sure a flashback sequence could add much more without veering into melodrama.

Yeah, it's definitely a more difficult problem than the articles let on. I understand the "white gateway character" criticism. However, the sad fact is that the lower-class characters on the show (and their real-life analogues, of course) simply don't have the skills and/or agency to get a memoir of their experiences

I think the failed baptism scene was crucial. When Piper went off about science and Hitchens and whatnot, she didn't just disrespect Pennsatucky –she questioned the basis of her identity, and did so effectively enough to sow (or at least bring to the surface) serious doubts among her followers.

Are you me? Same experience. I also feel cheated because the instructions said to "dress how you would for the show" so I wore a hoodie with my college's name on it. Other people were wearing nice dress shirts and sweaters and whatnot and looked way more intelligent than me!

Like a gay teenager, it gets better. I did expect it to change between characters' viewpoints more often than it did, though, which definitely threw me off for a while.
