Repairs, of course. Weird experiences the car survived. Things you’ve done to make the car work for you. Finding gas or parts in the middle of nowhere...

Yeah, I’ve had good luck in emergencies but never on anything I’m not gonna replace as soon as I get back to somewhere I can get parts. It’s not a repair, for me, it’s a ‘limp to where I can fix it.’

I think it’s worth trying again, now steer by wire is reliable. It might be  functional with modern tech... and cheaper than a traditional wheel.

So, do you carry JB Weld, in case you can’t find a stick welder?

I am reminded of using good old Whatis, my ‘03 Toyota Matrix XRS, as a conventionmobile. There was room in the back...  Good luck, hope you survive the experience.

Mine’s orange. I wonder where it came from.

Next generation of WRX will probably be my last new car, yeah.

Oh yeah, Leatherman Skeletool in the console. Good idea on the brushes.

That’s why my jump pack is USB. Slower to charge, but you can’t lose the cable.

amen.

I’ve done it. After six hours swearing at things that aren’t going together you get stupid. Course this is the kinda thing you do _once_ and then its burned into your hindbrain to triple check.

(General trunk inhabitants: jumper, 9-volt air compressor, and entrenching tool, plus side of road/survival kit: flashing lights, thermal blanket, survival bar. Also emergency jacket, shorts, t-shirt. Takes up one lobe of the trunk organizer )

I’m gonna admit, after a few hours of working on something, I’ve done this. What saved me? I was using a battery jumpstarter, which read it and canceled it.

What if you use the rockets to fire downwards, increasing grip? How much acceleration can you get out of th engine then?

Oh god. (karate chops a gong)

Now playing

I believe I’ve got the answer. They have to be carefully taught.

Doing it now.

Does anyone have a copy of this? I want to know if me or my dad are in the index. The split was when we were working on Indy.

Yeah, but speed limits are 100 kph. So 60mph is close enough.

Oh yeah, no doubt. But if it’s as good as it looks...
