got to the word “ribcage” and started shrieking

It’s not usually that the studies themselves are bullshit, it’s that the results are overinterpreted, taken out of context and reported without statistical understanding.

To be clear, the Brexiters are now furious with the Speaker of the House for forbidding another vote on a deal they hate and voted against, and want to see fail. But how dare he prevent them from... voting against it a third time?

I’d love to see an animated miniseries of the New Adventure “The Left-Handed Hummingbird” which was one of my favourite of the novels... it’d lend itself well to a gonzo animation style a la Spiderverse, albeit with a darker tone.

Spraying it right in my eyes for that all-day glow!

If I know better than to turn my back on my house cat...

Yarp. First year of my phd I became convinced my heart was failing and I was going to drop dead. I feel really grateful that the prof in my dept. who found me hiding under a water fountain was nothing but kind and supportive, all the more so for reading about other people’s experiences.

Hmm, that’s a good question. I’d say yes if their literary tastes are broad. But who knows! It’s really good, in any case, and I’ve always wished Koja had more exposure.

I wish I’d clicked on this to discover it was an adaptation of Kathe Koja’s The Cipher.

I still remember that ship cutting through the fog at the beginning, from when I was a kid. Revelation in animation at the time!

Yes, it feels like I’m being eaten by hate, some days. I think it’s important to find sanctuary in your life.

And that’s pretty shaky; but using something at a trial as proof of intent, after a crime has been committed, is different from taking someone in before a crime has been committed.

Mostly anything in front of you when you stop. A long, long way in front of you.
