I don’t generally rewatch movies much, so don’t think this means I’ve seen it like 80 times or anything, but it’s probably either *Almost Famous* or the more obscure *Waking the Dead* with Billy Crudup and Jennifer Connelly.

it’s possible to make a genuine dent at the local level. LA is doing it, or seems to be - people voted to raise their own taxes to pay for permanent supportive housing, initially for vets. Calgary and Edmonton up here are doing it. But obviously, yeah, you need bigger guns to solve the problem completely.

do both.

Man, he’s not even alive anymore, let alone mayor. :(

Hey man, I dunno if your user name is ironic; maybe it is. But as a Torontonian, we really have no business shitting on other people for how they treat the homeless.

... out of GENOCIDE.

Because GAWD.

This is exactly what I thought. At least it’s *soft*.

It’s like... somehow they knew :o

“A new cultural and gastro popup market in the heart of Prague. 27 containers full of food, music, art, desing”

While I’m sure the reasoning - if any - is specious, I kind of wish the article had gone into detail about what arguments there are against Scabby as a very straightforward 1st-amendment free-speech issue. Incitement?

I’d like a second opinion on whether or not it is, in fact, legally impossible to have half a kid. Surely particle accelerator technology is reaching the point where quantum-indeterminate quasi-children are the future.

Fellow canuck here, I gotta disagree with your policework there, on an otherwise fine rage-post. Medicare is a cromulent term for the broad guarantee of public health insurance under the Canada Health Act.

Wooooooooo!

That’s true! but beside the point. How should we respond to stories like this, from the point of view of anti-sexism? If religion is inherently sexist, we shouldn’t see this story as inspirational or a good thing; in fact, we should be encouraging the priests of the temple in driving women away.

^ Indistinguishable from parody.

Except I think the women want to go into the temple to pray, so. Complicated, the world is!

holy shit you made me spray coffee on my keyboard at work fuck fuck fuck

Look, I’m far from an optimist, but the chances of the human race being extinct in 15 years really are zero - at least, in terms of threats we know about, i.e., the environment (like, maybe aliens show up and put us all down, I dunno). The 2030ish dates are ‘by then we’ll be locked into a course to an extremely

This... isn’t how sex works.
