Why is it so badly-written? If it weren’t for the very good reasons to suspect skulduggery, my first impression would be that the changes just seem to be trying to fix *extremely bad* sentence construction.

Well, one way is to make it so that sex workers have the full, unprejudiced protection of the law. (This means that availing themselves of the protection of the law cannot endanger their livelihood, tenure place of residence and work, etc. etc.)

Just because there’s no economic model for a declining population doesn’t mean starvation is inevitable. We could create new economic models, especially given advancing technology. Hell we could probably create new economic models *of capitalism* that would work with a stable population.

Not just that, but all different sorts of humans have been modifying the environment in disruptive ways for tens of thousands of years, including driving megafauna to extinction and introducing rats and pigs to new environments where they run rampant.
