Thank you!!

This is sort of off topic, sorry, but do you know the name of the organization your in-laws work with? My mom would like to do this with her puppy (a very smart, friendly sheltie) but I want to try and help her make sure it’s through a well-respected, legit organization.

ALSO SEEING THIS THAT WEEKEND!!!! SO PUMPED!

well, it does stay cold really well?

Thank you, this was an interesting read! I work at one of the sites often listed as a “must see” destination, and you can always tell who’s excited to be there and who’s just going because they think they are supposed to. My biggest tour guide triumph on busy days is watching the light go on for those people—it’s the

Oh my god those things are AMAZING. There’s a Belgian “street food” restaurant in Boston that makes them and I must hit it every time I’m nearby, regardless of whether or not I am hungry.

After watching that episode I acquired at various times both the pie bird and the tart pan! I have to admit, I don’t bake pies or tarts super often, but when I do that tart pan is magic for making something that looks beautiful and sophisticated. I won an office baking contest with it.

That sounds awesome! Yeah, when she explained it to me it sounded like she was surprised I didn’t already know coconut oil is magic...I am apparently really underinformed in this area, so it’s extra lucky I have people around to sort me out :)

She is pretty awesome, but I’m biased because we’ve been best friends for most of our lives :) I think my favorite fact isn’t so much a fact as just a general benefit, which is her new home brewing endeavor. But when a different roommate kept getting yeast infections I learned that coconut oil reacts with the yeast

I’m really happy to hear this is such a smashing success financially, because artistically it looks AMAZING...

OK, that trailer looks excellent (although I have mixed feelings on the use of a recognizable modern song for a period movie).

That’s so true! The more I learn now the more amazed I am I didn’t learn it sooner. It’s my

First of all, your username is amazing! Second, I just wanted to say thanks for all the education in this thread. Between you and my vaginal-yeast-lab-microbiologist roommate, I feel like I’m learning so much about my vagina!

That sounds AMAZING!

That’s pretty true of WWII reenactors, in my experience...but since there are so many more sides, people will sometimes have multiple impressions so they can switch and be different things at different events or just permanently switch if they’re interests change. For example, I started out doing US War Correspondent,

I was really worried about the whole “people dressed up as Germans” at my first WWII event. Afterwards I realized they’re all assholes, so it made so much more sense.

Actually, I do some WWII reenacting and I’ve never run into an event where this is totally true. There are people who do multiple impressions (i.e., their uniform and gear, etc.) and will sometimes change sides for a specific skirmish or something if they want to (or are filling a hole in another unit), but mostly

I hope to grow up to be you when I have kids. I love my dresses in whimsical prints and long hair!

I had NO IDEA Lawrence’s character in Silver Linings Playbook was supposed to be 39. What the hell, cast one of the many talented actresses of the right age. ugh.

The Edinburgh Zoo lets their penguins out of the enclosure every day to do a “parade” through the visitors, so this may be possible?
