This is 100% why I haven’t talked to my neighbors about their dog. It howls all night on the weekends. It barks loudly and aggressively at anyone that walks by. When they see it, they baby talk it. I don’t care how sweet you think your dog is, it’s a pain, and I don’t doubt it would bite someone.
