I had malaria twice when I lived in West Africa. Harry Potter got me through that and for that I am forever grateful. While I am sure that the letter, etc. in no way makes up for her loss, I feel like HP's themes of loss and sorrow resonate and hopefully can bring her a small ounce of healing.

Great point. Although it is insanely fun to guess casting, I felt the same way after the news about the Sofia Coppola version of the Little Mermaid. I am pretty sure she is going to do things differently than the movie with that, not sure about Beauty and the Beast.
