No. ARMA is designed to be highly realistic. Guns have bullet drop. There are 4 or 5 different combat stances to choose from. You can lean around corners. Bullets can kill in 1 or 2 hits from miles away. Its more a simulation than a arena combat game(CoD) even though it has its own set of issues

There are actually a lot of usability tweaks that make BF4 a lot better than 3. Its a shame it has to be its own game though. It really is more like BF3.5 but DLC has its limits.

There definitely won't be an upgrade from console to pc. A PC and PS4 version is planned but it might be up to 6 months away. IDK if there will be an upgrade from ps3 to ps4. More likely the ps4 version will come with all or most of the dlc and be the "complete" version

As a programmer, you can never have too much literature. Its a real pain in the ass to know the hardware can do something but the method calls aren't in the documentation
