I get the distinct feeling these bugs are actually intentional after what happened at Deadspin. Herb nuked their comment section. He probably sees the other comment sections as a hindrance to making more changes to increase ad revenue and instead of killing them off quickly and causing another writer revolt he’s

Yikes, the comments here are alarming.

A lot of parents appreciate dress codes for their own policing, to some extent, as well as not having to buy complete and various school warddrobes in places that have basic uniforms in a Target or other supplier. I don’t really a problem if all kids were to wear a mandated type of pants and shirt. Seems practical

The decision followed a heated school board meeting that found parents, educators, and members of the medical community debating both sides of this argument

It’s extremely frustrating. Why bother commenting at all?

As of at least 2018 (post scandal) he was dating someone according to NYT.

I can’t even find my own comments, so that’s unsurprising. This place is almost aggressively bad for anyone who cares enough to try to participate in it. at this point it feels purposeful.

My hot take is....if he wants to tour, so long as he’s announcing his shows and people can make the choice to work with him or pay money to see him, whatever. If he wants to do the broey incel circuit, fine. He’ll never have the career he had before his unacceptable behavior came out. The majority of his fans and

Actually spend 2 minutes googling the comic book this is based on before you write a whole article about it. Yes, Yorick is the last biologically male human alive (and his sole survival is a central plot mystery). Yes, even in the comics all genetically Y-Chromosome carrying Trans Women also instantaneously die. Yes,

I’ll help. If they have a Y Chromosome, they didn’t make it through “the plague”. That doesn’t take away from who they were, it’s just the facts of the situation.

What’s great is that Vaughan provides several explanations as to why all the Y-chromosomed died, including magic. I mean the comic was all about the societal implications of a gendered die-off and how women would deal with it, not particularly about the cause.

I hope to god someone picks up the spec void that LG left behind. (Still rocking v30)

The specs are nice and I loved my Nexus 5X back in the day, so I want to be interested given the exit my preferred maker, LG. Alas, Google being Google, there’s next to no chance they’ll include a SD card slot so as to permit you to maximize your enjoyment of the 3.5mm jack—oh noes, someone might be halfway

This article makes me angrier than most tweets I’ve read in the last year.

Because we live in an age where certain people’s entire existence seems to revolve around being outraged by every freaking thing they encounter. It feels like they wear it as a badge of honor to find even the tiniest microaggression in every single aspect of life. Like, say, a show based on a multi-volume graphic

Everyone with a Y chromosome except for 1 human dies from a virus. It is that simple. This fictional virus doesn’t care about anything else.  I’m not sure if the show is somehow messing up this most basic concept, but I fail to see how this could outrage anyone.

You note it yourself: it’s a mass death of people with Y chromosomes. That happens to include a majority of trans women. ‘The Last Man’ here refers to the last biologically male person, because biological sex (yes, which is not a binary) is the central concept for the core conceit here.

This is one of the best good bye posts I’ve read on any of these sites.

Every time I see this thing it reminds me of something, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I think I finally figured it out.
