This is well and good, but I’m still in a no-win situation. I’m black. My son is half and of course looks it. Cops scare the SH!T out of me and I’m a law abiding citizen with nothing to hide, didn’t have alcohol till I was 21, never smoked, etc. It feels nearly impossible to teach him “cops aren’t bad and should be

IMO its really 4...’variable expenses’ is really two categories - variable bills - namely credit cards and the ilk, and variable expenses like gas/food. ALSO there is another category that doesn’t need to exist, but should, though could be lumped in with credit cards - or bills - depending on where you are - and

eh...I think there are a lot of caveats to this. Like all things health related, it requires some research and common sense along with humility and consistency.

*dipping toe in water*

No, I intended to originally keep up with it, but afterwards, I just really didn’t feel like it. When I get back on I’ll do my replies. The ‘tie’ if you will was more about the time consumption. It wasn’t some “one sentence” response to all the various back and forth (and most agreed with me and verified I wasn’t in

I’m going through this right now. I posted something on FB that I knew would incite some disagreement (nothing political/racial, music based), but realized that I didn’t really feel like playing volleyball, so I just didn’t log back in after my first volley. I stayed off the rest of the day. My phone told me how

I agree 1000% with Motley. One of the financial fights my wife and I had that I refused to budge on was based around this...she is a school teacher and had the maximum always taken out her paycheck, so when she got her interest free loan *shots fired* back from the gov’t that’s what she used to get through the

*laughing then crying inside*

I worked at home for 2 months and hated it...would not go back. I’m just not built for it, too many distractions, and leaving home to work elsewhere ends up either defeating purpose or not being a “full day”. There are pros and cons to being in an office, sound is an issue, but it isn’t the end of the world

I have that issue sometimes, but usually when someone wants to talk to me that much - there is a purpose, and thus “its fine”, its the social conversations that I try to fight against the most when focused. If I find myself that nailed in that I don’t want purposeful conversation, then its “to the conference room”.

*Reads a bunch of post*

When people put conference calls on speaker phones at their cubicle...when people have small impromptu meetings at their cubicles, etc...it just becomes noise to the people around them. I REALLY miss having my own office, I could just close the door if I needed some quiet to focus...especially when using ‘actual’

I’m the earbud guy. when I feel I can do it without looking like a recluse, I have earbuds in. this does NOT mean they are on. they tell people to leave me alone and they stifle the noises trying to get to my ears. when I REALLY need to focus, I just undock, and go to a conference room to work for a couple hours.

Yeah, my holidays matched almost quote for quote...it was extremely easy. We didn’t speak it up if you will, but anytime a snide remark could be made with some sass thrown on it...of the sass was THROWN. And the shade. And yes it was seasoned with salt...ramen noodle levels of sodium. If I was Obama, I’d be so

Yep, and typically since I use cheap hot sauce, once its open, I give it a month. and after that I end up usually cooking it with a stock, less about heat and more about the added flavor. In college it was “Frank’s” & “remains of a rotisserie chicken”...then I’d use the stock with say Ramen noodles for something

Or play video games with your friends to short-circuit everything :)

But yeah, I can see this. I enjoy making music, but there are times where even when I plan to do it, with everything else I am responsible for that it comes off as “work” and thus spending more time with my kids sounds like the easier path...and look

In a joking, but serious way...I actually feel I walked away from this a little smarter. I’ve always been curious about this too.

I want them to return the “PS” Button options to how they were before. Last update, I’d finish running Rainbow 6 with my boys, hold the PS button, hit like one direction (right maybe), and hit “X”, then go about my business. Now Sony acts as though holding that button makes me want to do a bunch of other stuff, and

I’ve still got a major hard on for 3D, some of it is personal reasons (research topic in college back in 03/05), but I also just happen to...ya know...like it. I don’t mind wearing glasses, I don’t ge the headaches or anything, the only issue is since I don’t get to watch movies alot, the batteries can be

I’m still salty over the beyond “crappy” service and horrible failurre I dealt with when it comes to Seagate externals and Seagate hdd period. They can kick rocks. So if the WD is sold out, then there just isn’t another option between the big two. I’d rather inscribe 0s and 1s in pencil on a sheet of paper than use
